The Fort Abandon design document for the Van Buren project, Black Isle's canceled Fallout 3, was written by Chris Avellone and outlines the content which would have appeared in Fort Abandon. It was anonymously given to Fallout series historian Anachorite with the request that she publish it to Nukapedia on November 9th, 2023. On April 3rd of the following year, she retracted it following a request by those who were originally given permission to view it. Information from the document has been integrated into existing articles.
