A case, .357 Magnum is a crafting item in Fallout: New Vegas.

This item is used as a component to create .357 Magnum rounds at reloading benches. Combine one .357 Magnum casing, 16 lead, eight pistol powder, and one small pistol primer to make one .357 Magnum round.
Locations[]
- Up to nine casings can be found on the dead bodies of enemies that were wielding a cowboy repeater or a .357 Magnum revolver at the time of their death.
- A casing can be acquired after firing a weapon chambered in .357 about 30% of the time unless using the JSP type round, which will give a casing 15% of the time.
- Case boxes can be purchased and contain casings in bulk. Each box contains 25 casings for .357 ammunition.
- Occasionally some traveling merchants will "sell" .357 casings (among many other calibers), but they will always be for free. Likewise, selling casings to a merchant will not yield any caps.
In the Sink, once Muggy has been activated, he can break down green plates and tin plates into batches of 10 and 20 casings, respectively.
