Not all of the attractions at Nuka-World were rides. The Nuka-Cade here boasted dozens of exciting games of skill for the whole family to enjoy.Sierra Petrovita

The Nuka-Cade is an unmarked location in Nuka-World in 2287.

Background[]

The Nuka-Cade is an arcade hall featuring five different playable games requiring Nuka-Cade tokens to function: Atomic Rollers, Bandit Roundup, Hoop Shot, Nuka-Zapper Race, and Whac-a-Commie. Winners are awarded Nuka-Cade tickets that can be exchanged for prizes. The prize selection rotates every few days, with prizes ranging from souvenirs to power armor. Weapons and armor received from the prize terminal may have legendary effects.

Layout[]

The Nuka-Cade is a large building divided into several rooms. Beyond the entrance is a reception area with two token dispensers that dispense three Nuka-Cade tokens in exchange for one piece of pre-War money, and a desk with a first aid kit beneath it. Down the stairs to the east is the prize terminal where tickets may be redeemed and then spent using the available menus.

The northern room contains a Bandit Roundup station, the northeast room contains seven Whac-a-Commie consoles and five Hoop Shot consoles, the southern room contains a Nuka-Zapper Race station, and the southeast room contains another Whac-A-Commie console and five Atomic Rollers consoles. Also in the southeast room is an employees-only door to the south that leads to a generator room with a weapons workbench.

Fritsch waits in the reception area. He will help start the Amoral Combat quests in addition to acting as a merchant.

Notable loot[]

Nuka-Cade prize terminal rewards[]

There are five prize levels, and at most eight items available at any time for each level. Each item can only be bought once, but there can be several copies of the same item available, such as three Nuka-Cola Dark for level 5. Every few days, the prize list changes and the stocks are replenished.

In addition to the items listed below, the prize terminal also allows for the purchase of various weapons, armor parts, and power armor parts at prize levels 4 and 5. Weapons and armor parts obtained from the terminal have a high chance of having a legendary effect. Such items may cost more than 10,000 or even 20,000 tickets.

Ticket output[]

Below are the average Nuka-Cade tickets the player character will receive from a minute of play at each game if played perfectly. This requires hitting the red menace in Whac-a-Commie at least once each time it pops up, winning Nuka-Zapper Race as quickly as possible, finishing Atomic Rollers quickly with a perfect score of 7000, making at least sixty hoops in a game of Hoop Shot, and not missing any targets in an average game of Bandit Roundup.

Notes[]

A book return terminal and a small empty room can be found behind the wall left of the prize-dispensing Cappy by using the tcl console command, or using a power armor glitch to go through the wall and a jet pack to get to the small room. While usable, the book return terminal serves no practical purpose and provides only junk items.

Appearances[]

The Nuka-Cade appears only in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka World.

Bugs[]

  • PCPC Playstation 4Playstation 4 Xbox OneXbox One When purchasing a large item from the prize terminal, such as a power armor chest piece, it is possible the item may become stuck inside the mouth of the Cappy, making it unobtainable. PC users can use the tcl console command to grab the prize if it gets stuck. [verified]
  • PCPC Playstation 4Playstation 4 Xbox OneXbox One It is possible to become stuck in a loop of being 'pulled' into viewing the prize terminal if you repeatedly select the terminal before the animation actually happens. This can be resolved by loading a previous save. [verified]
