The NCR Embassy is the headquarters for the NCR on the Strip. The Ambassador and his offices are there as well as the MP headquarters.— Unnamed NCR trooper posted at the station

The NCR Embassy is an unmarked location within the New Vegas Strip in the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

Under the terms of the New Vegas Treaty drafted in 2274, the New California Republic was permitted to establish an embassy on the Strip to resolve and negotiate issues with Mr. House's Free Economic Zone of New Vegas. The embassy has had three ambassadors since its establishment including Phillip Granger, Susanna Edith, and, as of 2281, Dennis Crocker.[2][3]

Layout[]

Situated in the southernmost section of the Strip, east across from Michael Angelo's workshop and set behind the Ultra-Luxe, the NCR Embassy compound consists of two buildings, including the embassy itself and the NCR Military Police Headquarters. During the day, Ambassador Crocker can be found in his office at the end of the hall within the embassy, one of few rooms to the left of the reception desk (or as the receptionist will inform, at her right). To the receptionist's left are several supply rooms, a barracks room, a dining hall, and the office of Captain Marie Pappas.

Notes[]

  • When entering the embassy for a second time, the player character may be approached by an MP officer. If Lily Bowen or Raul Tejada is an active companion, he will initiate dialogue and comment about them being allowed onto the Strip and end the dialogue there. If any "normal" human companions are in tow, he will initiate an idle conversation, e.g. "What do you need?", with the player character's answer ending the conversation.
  • If the player visits the embassy after triggering Don't Tread on the Bear!, they may be confronted by an MP who expresses his displeasure with the Courier's presence being on the Strip. He and every MP within the embassy will become hostile, including Captain Pappas. NCR infamy will be gained even if the player character does not kill them. The only people left alive after this encounter will be Liza O'Malley, the ambassador, and Jake Erwin. Even upon exiting the embassy, the remaining patrolling NCR MPs will be hostile.
  • If How Little We Know was either not completed or completed by helping the Omertas with their plan, during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the NCR emergency radio will broadcast a report that the embassy was being bombed by the Omertas as part of their attack to help the Legion.
  • The windows inside the NCR Embassy are both different from the outside windows and uniquely designed from all other windows in the game.
