The microphone and stand are miscellaneous items in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
The microphone and stand are, as the name indicates, consisting of a microphone mounted to a weighted-base microphone stand. The microphone itself is an old-style microphone, similar to the Shure Unidyne series microphones, which are icons of mid-20th-century radio and television broadcasting.
Despite the design of the stand being weighted at the bottom, this item has a weight of 0 if examined in the inventory. Due to the fact that the microphone and stand have no defined physical boundaries, it cannot be grabbed or picked up without the use of console commands.
Locations[]
A total of seven microphone and stand sets appear in the game, in three locations:
- One is found on the theater stage in the Atomic Wrangler Casino.
- One is found on stage at The Aces theater located inside The Tops casino.
- Five can be found on the stage outside of the Hoover Dam visitor center, where President Aaron Kimball gives his speech. All five only appear once the quests have started for either You'll Know It When It Happens or Arizona Killer.
