A bottle of Gamma Gulp beer. It glows in the dark!

Gamma Gulp beer is a consumable item in Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics.

Background[]

Brewed in the ghoul town of Gecko alongside Roentgen rum, Gamma Gulp is sold by the settlement's bartender Wooz.[1] Despite being radioactive, the beverage is exported across New California and can be found in the bars of New Reno. Due to its radioactivity, Lydia of the Tap House in Vault City will not accept it or Roentgen rum for the purposes of smuggling liquor into the city.[2]

Gamma Gulp beer sponsors some boxing matches in New Reno, with announcers for sponsored matches saying "When your skin's lacking that 'special glow'... Choose Gamma Gulp Beer!"[3]

Characteristics[]

The Fallout 2 version is a yellow-brownish bottle, with a label showing a face. The Fallout Tactics version is a green bottle. Descriptions of the bottles in the two games are the same, describing them as glowing in the dark.

Locations[]

Fallout 2[]

Fallout Tactics[]

  • In Rock Falls, inside a locked chest in the medical building.

Notes[]

  • Unlike Fallout 2, alcohol in Fallout Tactics is not addictive. Instead, it causes the Drunk condition.
  • For $35 in Gecko, the player can buy a round of Gamma Gulp for the house.
