The water purification is a room built in Fallout Shelter.
Overview[]
The water purification room is the Tier II version of water generation infrastructure. Compared to the water treatment room it produces a moderately larger amount of water, however it is significantly more expensive. Like most other rooms, the water purification room can be combined into a 3 wide room, increasing production and allowing more workers. It requires 80 dwellers to unlock.
Water production[]
Placing dwellers with high Perception in this room will yield the most resources from it.
The water purification room, like other rooms, gains a production and upgrade cost bonus from being connected to another room of the same type and level. The rooms will gain a +2 production bonus for each connected room. Upgrade costs will be 25% cheaper for a double room and about 34% cheaper when upgrading a triple room vs upgrading 3 single rooms.
Compared to the water treatment room, the basic water production room, the water purification room generates more water with a slightly longer production time. The water purification room is overall the more efficient of the two, with a better ratio of production time to production quantity than the water treatment room, with the the production time being 1.25 times longer, but yielding 1.375 times more water and therefore being 10% more efficient. As a downside the water purification room is significantly more expensive to build and upgrade than the water treatment room. Once the Nuka-Cola bottler is unlocked, water purification rooms are rendered obsolete.
Like other Tier II versions of rooms, it requires a higher level of SPECIAL for resources to be produced conveniently.
