The sink is a world object in Fallout 4 and a constructible settlement object in the add-on Vault-Tec Workshop.
Characteristics[]
The sink is a bowl-shaped plumbing fixture with one faucet and two handles. Some, but not all, sinks appear to have some sort of strainer to prevent them from getting clogged. Sinks have no overflow-prevention devices.
Sinks crafted in settlements allow the player character to drink from them, restoring Hit Points (and, in Survival mode, reducing thirst). They can also be used to fill empty bottles, converting them to purified water. Some sinks outside settlements also function, though some of these release irradiated water, which converts empty bottles to dirty water instead.
