The Necropolis motel is a building in Necropolis.

Background[]

The Bakersfield motel is the site where travelers would sleep for the night. After the Great War, being destroyed, it does not have much economical purpose, except for the ghouls who live there.

Layout[]

This district is the first part of Necropolis encountered by the player and is a virtual shooting gallery, filled with many hostile ghouls. They are easy experience pickings for the distance shooter. The ghouls will become hostile easily if the player tries to converse and/or rifle through their storage. There are a few manholes scattered around the area, which lead to the city's sewers, connecting this district to the others.

Inhabitants[]

Notable loot[]

As with the other ghouls in Necropolis, touching any of the items on the shelves will make them hostile towards the Vault Dweller.

The Necropolis motel appears only in Fallout.

Behind the scenes[]

Although the area is referred to by the game and in the files as a hotel, the building uses a motel sign.
