To run experiments the information in the desk's terminal will prove vitalValery Barstow

The overseer's desk and Vault 88 overseer's desk are constructible settlement objects in the Fallout 4 add-on Vault-Tec Workshop.

Characteristics[]

The overseer's desk is a desk shaped as a semicircle.

Two distinctive variants of the desk can be built: the unique Vault 88 overseer's desk and a generic overseer's desk. While the generic version consists solely of the desk, the unique variant is equipped with a chair and a terminal, and can only be built in Vault 88. The terminal desk can be used by the Sole Survivor to boost their Intelligence by one and provides 10 happiness to the vault.

Notes[]

If Valery Barstow is a settler in Vault 88, she will always be seen at the Vault 88 overseer's desk when not sleeping. This can prove problematic when it comes to constructing the vault due to the fact that the desk will become immovable as long as she is using this. This can be counteracted by placing a bed or chair and using the Waiting mechanic to set the time to 12 A.M. after which the player will have until 6 A.M. before the settlers wake up and proceed to their assigned tasks. To avoid further frustration, it is advised to put the desk and any beds or objects assigned to settlers outside of the area the player wishes to build in.
