The following is based on Fallout 3 cut content. |
Stacey was going to appear in Fallout 3, but was cut from the final version of the game.
Background[]
She and another girl named Caps guarded Little Lamplight's front gate together. Caps took care of Stacey and enjoyed her company guarding, as well as the jokes she often made.[1] Stacey used to search for hats to give to Caps to add to her collection, leading to her name.[2] One day, Stacey was away from the gate while she was on duty, and Caps was killed when raiders suddenly attacked.[1] Stacey blames herself, and became the sole front gate guard.[3]

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 The Lone Wanderer: "You said you used to have another guard. What happened?"
Stacey: "There... there used to be another guard. She was named Caps. She used to take care of me. She liked my company guarding. She liked when I used to tell jokes. Then, some Raiders attacked. And I was the only guard left."
(Stacey's dialogue) - ↑ The Lone Wanderer: "Caps? What do you mean?"
Stacey: "Caps used to take care of me. I would find hats for her collection. That's why she was called 'Caps', right? Before long, I was guarding the front gate with her. She liked the company. She liked the jokes I used to make. I think she liked me. When the Raiders attacked last time... She didn't make it."
(Stacey's dialogue) - ↑ The Lone Wanderer: "You can't blame yourself for her death."
Stacey: "Except... I was supposed to be on guard when they attacked. I should have been here to help Caps. It really is my fault she died. Now I'm the only front gate guard, so it's my responsibility to make up for that."
