And what're you doing down here, slave? Don't tell me that your pale ass is gonna throw down?

Faydra is one of the Pitt raiders in the year 2277.

Background[]

Faydra guards the entrance to the arena, also known as the Hole. During her time in this position, she has scavenged several pieces of equipment from past fighters who died in the arena. As she has seen many past fighters fall, it takes someone of considerable combat capabilities to impress her.[Non-game 1] At least one Pitt slave regards Faydra as being the worst of the Pitt raiders, and says that the first thing they will do once the uprising takes place is burn her eyes out.[1]

She coordinates the fights that take place in the arena[2][3] and will provide instructions to the Lone Wanderer regarding participation in the fighting. She will make comments about each opponent that the Lone Wanderer progressively faces.[4][5][6] She will also make additional comments about the Lone Wanderer’s successes in the arena, beginning to gain a sense of respect for them.[7][8]

If the Lone Wanderer is lacking in sufficient weaponry for fighting in the arena, Faydra will offer a few spare weapons in a locker nearby, as well as two doses of Rad-X on a medical tray.[9] She will also administer anti-radiation shots between rounds.[7]

Daily schedule[]

She stands around in front of the Hole, waiting for an unlucky scab to get booted down and thrown into the fight.

Relationships[]

She is friends with Spook.[Non-game 2]

Quests[]

Effects of player's actions[]

  • Like Everett, Faydra remains friendly with the player even if they choose to side with the slaves during the slave uprising. Unlike Everett, however, Faydra does become hostile towards the rebelling Pitt slaves and will fight the slaves that pursue her in the basement. However, Faydra's spot in the basement is in an out-of-the-way location, so there is a good chance that the slaves will miss her, and she will likely survive the rebellion. If she does, Faydra has nothing to say to the player, and speaking with her will only produce silence.

Inventory[]

Apparel Weapon Other items On death
Raider armor The Pitt (add-on) Chinese assault rifle

Notes[]

Dropping any consumable items near Faydra will result in her picking them up. However, pickpocketing will reveal that they are not in her inventory.

Appearances[]

Faydra appears only in the Fallout 3 add-on The Pitt.

Behind the scenes[]

Faydra's name in the G.E.C.K. is sometimes spelled "Phaedra."

    (Pitt slave's dialogue)
  2. The Lone Wanderer: "What goes on down here?"
Faydra: "What? One of the boys hit you upside the head a little too hard? This is the arena. You want to fight? You tell me. I'll set it up. Then you die and we all have a good laugh. So what do you say? C'mon? We haven't had a good bloodbath in a while."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  3. The Lone Wanderer: "Where do I sign up?"
Faydra: "You don't sign up. You tell me that you want to fight. I set up a fight. You die, and I repeat it with the next jackass slave who comes in here. Sound good? You want in? C'mon, death's got to be better than your life, am I right?"
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  4. The Lone Wanderer: "Who am I going to be fighting?"
Faydra: "We're gonna throw you in there with a bunch of the other scabs who think they got what it takes. You're all gonna fight it out and the last one standing gets to move on. Probably won't be you, though."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  5. The Lone Wanderer: "Who am I going to be fighting?"
Faydra: "Ashur says he wants to make this one good so he gave you the Bear Brothers. They're a couple of mean bastards. Hell, rumor has it that they're half way to Trog as it is. But I'm sure you'll do fine. Just fine."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  6. The Lone Wanderer: "Who am I going to be fighting?"
Faydra: "You're going up against Gruber. He's one of the only slaves to win in the Hole. There's only ever been... what? Three? I guess he got a taste for blood. But unfortunately for you, he's got a pretty decent gun. So, odds are, this is the last time you and I will be talking."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  7. 7.0 7.1 Faydra: "Wow. Impressive, slave. Those were some of the toughest scabs around here. You've got some fight in you, it seems. But I wouldn't get too excited. I'm sure Ashur's got something special planned for your next fight. Here's something for the rads. Enjoy it while you can. Come back when you're ready for your next fight."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  8. Faydra: "Not bad, grinder. Not bad. The Bear Brothers were some pretty mean sons o' bitches. One more fight and you're free. But I wouldn't plan on making it through the next one."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
  9. The Lone Wanderer: "Do I get any weapons?"
Faydra: "You have what you take in with you. But, if that's not enough, there are a couple of things in that locker over there."
    (Faydra's dialogue)
