Snack cakes gives a small amount of hit points, at the cost of 3 rads. In hardcore mode, it also helps to keep starvation at bay.

- Kings gang members will sometimes comically comment on the food saying "I'd give anything for a Fancy Lad. Wait, I mean- you know what I mean!"
- Sometimes, when you are about to ask something from Veronica Santangelo, she will answer before you even get to ask anything by saying "A lifetime supply of Fancy Lad Snack Cakes, destruction of my enemies, and world peace. In that order.", apparently listing her three greatest wishes.
