Deletion? Edit

Since we've moved fully onto the web chat system, do we need this page any more? Agent c 03:16, December 22, 2011 (UTC)

There are people still using the IRC chat, but I don't know if they're all talking in private chats or just idling. It's pretty dead in there. Think I saw Callofduty4 in there. UserGreatMaraMessage 03:25, December 22, 2011 (UTC)
What's the benefit to deleting the page? The channel is still there, and people still use it (whether through a real IRC client or a Java applet embedded in a webpage). Join ##fallout and you'll typically find 35 users in the room. IRC is a familiar system, and people will likely have their IRC client connected to as many channels (on different servers) as their web browser has tabs open. Having one of them being #wikia-fallout can only be a good thing. Having a webpage here to advertise to web users what's going on in IRC can only be a good thing. Who uses IRC channel? Energy X 20:03, August 20, 2012 (UTC)

There are often about 7 people in #wikia-fallout (as opposed to about 12 in #falloutwiki run by Unhelpfully, the Topic for #fallout is: "This channel has been moved to #fallout-wikia, please join us in there to discuss the Fallout games." This should be corrected to #wikia-fallout next time someone with chanops rights connects. Dr Zoidberg (talk) 02:16, May 20, 2016 (UTC)
