The Van Buren Article Project Redux Project is a project which aims at taking off where the previous project left things.

Scope

From the last Project:

The Project goal is to create every Van Buren article needed. A lot can be found on the design document articles. They are marked in red text. Every person who participates and helps enough will earn a medal.

We need articles for Characters, Apparel, Weapons, Places, everything you can find, make it. Please make sure the information is accurate and not speculative.

In addition, the Van Buren articles that are already on Fallout Wiki mostly pre-date the implementation of the article creation pages. If you come across one, do be sure to bring it up to standards.

Participants

To participate, simply add your name below using {{userlink|your user name}}. Place every participant on a new line.

Progress

Progress will be in three stages.

In Phase 1, we'll we looking at the previously created list of required articles, seeing what articles have been created by helpful users outside of the last project, and seeing what of the last project work needs tweaking, improving, or can be used without further edit. We'll either be flagging pages that need more work, or improving it as we go - You don't need any VB knowledge to help flag up pages that need work.

In Phase 2, we'll head into the design documents and see if theres anything from them that hasn't made the required list yet, and adding them to the required pages list. If a page is absent, you can either make a page with what you've found, or flag it for a content creator to do; if you've found a reference to something that has been mentioned elsewhere but may contain new information, you can also either add it or flag it for a content creator.

In Phase 3, its all about content creation, adding to those articles that were started earlier with the other flagged tips, and signing off/peer review on the articles.

Instructions

In the "Current Status", as you check articles. please mark one of the following:

  • Article OK: In line with the referenced design documents, no new content needs to be added. Content that is in the document is in line with Wiki Style guidelines. Please do not mark "Article OK" if you added content, or were the last to add content.
  • Proof Required: In line with the referenced design documents, no new content needs to be added. Content that is in the document not in line with Wiki Style Guidelines. The article may have spelling or punctuation errors, capitalisation issues, etc. If you correct an article yourself, you can skip this step and mart the article as Article OK on correction (as long as no new content was added).
  • Wikify Required: In line with the referenced design documents no new content needs to be added. Content that is in the article needs to be brought in line with style guidelines. The Article may be missing headings, appropriate formatting, links, templates or categories. If you correct an article yourself, you can skip this step and mart the article as Article OK on correction (as long as no new content was added).
  • Wiki/Proof required: As per the last 2 categories
  • Rewrite Required: Major work is required on the article. It may be missing content, or be in a completely unsuitable format. It may also need Wikification and Proofreading. Please do not mark these as "Article OK" when complete, mark these instead as "Peer Review Required". Please leave guidance in the talk page as to what work is required.
  • Content Required: After review of non referenced design documents, it appears there is content missing from the page. The existing content is OK in its current form. Please do not mark these as "Article OK" when complete, mark these instead as "Peer Review Required". If a page is missing references, please also use this mark. Please also add to the talk page what is missing.
  • Peer Review Required/Complete Article/Content Complete: Content has recently been added to the page, and the last person working now believes the page to be done. Presuming you agree, mark as "Article OK" when accepted.
  • Page deleted and redirected to...: if the page is a Clear duplicate of another. Please keep the page with the "Most correct" title if possible, or the most complete if not. Please also ensure any missing info is merged.

In the Checked by Sign your name (Three ~'s)

In the design documents used, mark the design documents that have been referenced. Articles with no references should be marked as Content required in the Status column, and No References in this column, and all known design docs will need to be checked before sign off.

Only mark something in "Unused DDs with content" if when reading a non referenced Design Doc you notice content is present but not included, mark the name here. Please also mark as "Content required". This is really going to be used in Phase 2, but if you notice something now, why not include it?

Image OK: Mark {{yes}} if there is a suitable image present, and you didn't add this. Mark as {{Neutral}} if you added a suitable image (this is the equivalent of peer review. Please only mark {{no}} if its obvious the page needs an image, but it isn't present.
