Fallout 3 creatures project
This article is within the scope of the Fallout 3 creatures project. This project is dedicated to improving the quality of articles on Fallout 3 creatures and bring them in line with Nukapedia's new article layout guideline. For participation, please check the project page.

The Fallout 3 creatures project is a project which aims to improve the quality of articles on Fallout 3 creatures and bring them in line with Fallout Wiki's new article layout guideline. It is a sister project to the Fallout: New Vegas creatures project.

After a lengthy discussion about the new policies, we are a new format for creature pages. Previously, each variant of a creature (e.g. centaur and evolved centaur) had separate pages. Now they are being merged on one page that will list all variants of a given creature type - our Fallout: New Vegas centaur (Fallout: New Vegas) page lists all centaur variants in neat tables.

Like with item articles, all main articles for creatures that appear in multiple games should now be overview pages - e.g. the centaur article.

ScopeEdit

  • Improving the layout and content of existing Fallout 3 creature articles and making them consistent with the new article layout guideline
  • Replacing the old stats template with {{Stats creature FO3}}. Full stats can be found in the GECK, but if you don't know them, you can just leave some fields empty.
  • Merging articles on variants of a given creature.
  • Splitting off Fallout 3 specific articles from general ones
  • Creating overview pages if needed
  • We're leaving out articles on sentient species like super mutants or aliens for now

GuidelinesEdit

Adapt all pages to the standard layout and check creature image, infobox and categories.

FO3 creature article layoutEdit

The layout is composed of three tables. The top and bottom tables are standard layout items found in every article; they are only included here for completeness and are collapsed by default. The middle table contains the actual specifics for creature pages.

  • yesIcon check in the "headline" column means that the article should have a headline of that name if you want to include such a layout item.
noIcon cross in the "headline" column means that this layout item should not have a headline.
  • yesIcon check in the "required" column means that every creature article should include this layout item.
noIcon cross in the "required" column means that not every creature article needs to include this layout item.
