In Fallout 4, the Sole Survivor can build objects within their own settlements at various sites around the Commonwealth. Inside those settlements, the workshop interface can be used to craft the objects as well as place and connect pre-fabricated structures and individual pieces such as walls, floors, and roofs. This customization allows the player character to construct their own home base(s) as they desire.
