Experimental weapons drones are similar in appearance to guardian drones, with exception of the weapons they carry. Aside from their basic drone cannon, each experimental weapons drone also carries a drone cannon Ex-B.
Gameplay attributes
Experimental weapons drones are initially friendly; they will not attack the player unless attacked first.

Notes
- Each of the two experimental weapons drones carries two drone cannons in its inventory; one of the common variety and one drone cannon Ex-B. This makes them the sole source for the latter.
- Just like the robots in the Capital Wasteland, they can be deactivated with the Robotics Expert perk.
Appearances
The two experimental weapons drones appear only in the Fallout 3 add-on Mothership Zeta.
Bugs
- As with other Mothership Zeta characters, the drones can sometimes 'carry' their cannons backwards, which looks amusing as they appear to be stabbing themselves with their own cannon. [verified]
