The Enclave Control Company, or EC Company, is an Enclave military company led by Sergeant Granite, responsible for perimeter defense on the Enclave Oil Rig.[1][2]

Background[]

By the time the Chosen One triggers a meltdown of the oil rig's reactor, the Enclave Control Company are deployed to assist Frank Horrigan in preventing the Arroyo tribal from reaching the tanker. Granite and his crew can be convinced to assist the Chosen One in defeating Horrigan.

After the slaying of Horrigan, they joined the Vault 13 dwellers and Arroyo tribals' escape on the tanker. Upon reaching the mainland, they headed north towards Navarro, and were never heard from again.[Non-game 1]

Interactions with the player character[]

With a high enough Speech skill, the player can convince Granite to assist them in fighting Horrigan. Otherwise, the EC Company will attack the player, and the turrets if the presidential access key was used to activate the counter-insurgency protocol.

Notes[]

The members of the EC Company all carry distinct weapons. Granite carries a YK42B pulse rifle while his other three soldiers have a turbo plasma rifle, an L30 Gatling laser, and a PPK12 Gauss pistol.

Appearances[]

The Enclave Control Company appears only in Fallout 2.

Non-game

  1. Fallout Bible 6: "1. What happened to Sgt. Granite and his crew after the destruction of the Enclave?
He and the EC crew hopped aboard the tanker, and escaped to the mainland after watching the fireworks from the top of the tanker, whispering 'gawd-damn' to themselves and throwing suggestive glances at the women from Vault 13 and Arroyo. After reaching the mainland, they headed north to Navarro (or the remains of Navarro, depending on how your PC left it) and were never heard from again, though their adventures could fill several eras worth of pulp comics, including a recent re-appearance in Keith Giffen's resurrection of Suicide Squad."
