The East Central Commonwealth was one of the thirteen commonwealths of the pre-War United States of America. Created in the early 21st century, the East Central Commonwealth was comprised of the former states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Kentucky Wasteland

Mentioned in John Henry Eden's broadcasts, it was stated that this particular commonwealth was hit by the bombs, yet much of its pre-War glory managed to survive and flourish. If Eden is to be believed, the commonwealth managed to survive the violence and disease that blanketed the rest of the world. It proudly keeps its pre-War landmarks, such as Knob Creek, or Hodgenville. Since Eden is not human and was instantly relocated to Raven Rock and integrated as President after the oil rig was destroyed, it is likely that this statement was either made up as propaganda or based on the childhood of another president.

Appearances

The East Central Commonwealth does not appear in any released Fallout game.

Kentucky is mentioned in one of President Eden's radio broadcasts as the place where he "grew up".

Behind the scenes

Hodgenville and the local Knob Creek Farm are the two childhood homes of Abraham Lincoln.
