Don't Poke at the Bear!^[1] is a unmarked quest in Fallout: New Vegas.

WalkthroughEdit

If the player has not allied with the NCR or done anything to decrease reputation with the NCR faction, the player may be randomly visited by three NCR Rangers. The Rangers give the player three days to begin an alliance or improve reputation with the NCR. If the player does not improve reputation after three days, the side quest Don't Tread on the Bear! will commence.

NotesEdit

• If you are vilified by the NCR and then kill the ranger that gives you three days to live, you automatically get branded as a terrorist.
• The number of Rangers may vary - in one instance, the warning message may be delivered by no less than five rangers: one in power armor, two with patrol armor, and one veteran ranger.
• With Dead Money, Honest Hearts or Old World Blues installed, being level 35 or above may cause it to be a group of all veteran rangers in combat armor and power armor.
