A mutant dog

The Fallout universe dogs are not much different then the ones found in our world, although more wild and rabid as the need of wasteland survival would demand. The most famous Fallout dog was Dogmeat, the companion of the Vault Dweller.

Dogs are better suited for the post-nuclear world life than most would think. It's the cats that are really pissed off. Dogs are usually very gentle, a little nuclear war couldn't change 10,000+ years of domestication that easily.

Aside from the normal dogs, some wild, mutant varieties also exist. The centaurs are mutants created by mixing dog, human and brahmin DNA in the FEV vats. Dogs were also subject to Enclave experiments, which resulted in cyberdogs.
