Walkthrough[]
This quest takes place in a building with a random layout. This quest contains mole rats in groups of two to three, raiders, and radscorpions on their own. Simple math questions will be asked by the occasional group of scientifically clad raiders - refer to the "dialogue section" to find out more about the correct answers, which sometimes also refer to mathematical jokes. Choosing the correct answers will give a reward.
Notable quotes[]
- "This is the square root of all evil."
- "“Go forth and multiply,” they said..."

Hold it right there, mouthbreathers! In order to continue, you must prove your math skills. |
No, 2 + 2 is 22, like the caliber. | That's *point* 22. Here, let me show you. |
Only for very large values of 2. | ...or very small values of 5. All right, you can go through.
Two and two are four. | Okay, maybe that was a little *too* simple...
You guys got here just in time to help settle an argument. Can you tell us if 1 is the same as 0.999...? |
No, 1 is larger than 0.999... | Wrong, the two are considered to be of equal value! Kill them! |
Yes, 1 is equal to 0.999... | Indeed, it is! Here's your reward.
Here, check out my infinitely repeating firearm. | I think I'll make a scatter plot... of your brains!
So, you've managed to get this far...impressive! We'll move to another quadrant if you can answer this simple test. |
6÷2(1+2) = 9. Final answer. | Normally I'd agree with you, but I'm feeling negative today. |
Easy: 6÷2(1+2) equals 1. | Maybe this was true once, but that's no longer the case.
The equation is ambiguous, and meant to trick people. | I can't add anything to this, you won fair and square.
Let me count out the answer with gunshots. | That sounds rational. |
