Dick Richardson (2183–2242)citation overdue is the leader of the Enclave and the President of the United States from March 5th, 2220 to 2242.[1]

Background

Dick Richardson entered the political scene in 2215 as a Congressman whose father and then President, Richardson Senior, was aiding to succeed him as the next President. On March 5th, 2220, Dick was elected President and began serving the first out of his five terms.^ A. One of the first things Dick did as President was in October of 2220 when he, for the sake of morale, classified the prototype results, accidents, explosions, and deaths of the development of a reliable version of the Advanced power armor Mk II. [2]

When encountered in 2242, Dick Richardson is a much older man whose vitality has given way to absent mindedness and an appearance comparable to his tired and frayed suit.[3]

Dick Richardson can be spoken to at great length to reveal numerous pieces of information with topics including the Forced Evolution Virus, the Project, Vice-president Daniel Bird's condition, China and the Great War, the purpose of Vaults, Mutation, and the fate of the Chosen One's kidnapped villagers.[4]

He also holds the presidential access keycard, which can only be obtained by killing him using one of the following options:

  • Kill him using conventional means (Enclave alerted)
  • Use eight super stimpaks on him and then use the Pipboy's wait function for the after effects to kill him. (Enclave not alerted)
  • Reverse pickpocket him with an active explosive and leave to another section, he will either die or be weakened (Enclave not alerted)
  • Sneak and shoot him, if he receives a critical hit, he will die (Enclave sometimes alerted, sometimes not)

Appearances

Dick Richardson appears only in Fallout 2 as a talking head. He is mentioned in Fallout 3 as well as in Fallout: New Vegas.[5]
