The origin of the signal is a ham radio in the basement of a bombed-out house to the northeast of the relay tower. The basement contains little of interest except for an advanced locked wall safe and the ham radio broadcasting the signal.
- It is unknown why the ham radio is broadcasting the signal. The owner could have possibly just set up the radio when the bombs fell, and never used it, leaving the signal on a loop for 200 years.
- The operator's holotape referenced in the broadcast is nowhere to be found in the basement.
- pc xboxone ps4 Occasionally, turning off the ham radio may not disable the signal.[verified]
- pc To ensure that you can disable the signal, make sure you tune your PiP-Boy radio to another channel, AND turn the PiP-Boy radio OFF, before you enter the basement. This seems to be true with most if not all "distress" type Radio Signals. When you turn off the Ham Radio, you should get the message "Default Radio Signal lost".
