[edit] Behind the scenes

  • Thomas E. Dewey was the losing Republican candidate in the 1944 United States presidential election, a contest which he lost to Franklin D. Roosevelt. However, the Roosevelt High School, the most likely source of inspiration for Roosevelt Academy, was named after Eleanor Roosevelt, President Roosevelt's wife.
  • Dean Dewey may also be named after famed education reformer John Dewey (October 20, 1859 – June 1, 1952).
  • Dean Dewey's Special Dialogue for players with 3 intelligence or less is a nod to Fallouts 1 and 2, which had special dialogues for "retarded" characters (characters with 3 or less intelligence) for many of the characters the vault dweller/chosen one interacted with in those games.
