The Dartmouth Professional Building is a location in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston in 2287.

Background[]

A pre-War high-rise building, easily recognizable by the collapsed building leaning against it.[Non-game 1]

Layout[]

Its interior consists solely of a small first floor lobby containing a reception desk and a non-functioning elevator obstructed by debris. The lobby also contains a Port-A-Diner, two sleeping bags, six glowing fungus and an assortment of minor loot. A piece of chalk on the desk appears to have been used to draw a chalk line on the floor nearby, seeming to separate the room into two sections. There is a male skeleton on one side with an empty coolant bottle, and a female skeleton on the other side with a package of rat poison.

Related quests[]

Notes[]

The exterior of the building is a random encounter location, where two opposing factions often fight for control of the building.

Appearances[]

The Dartmouth Professional Building only appears in Fallout 4.

  1. Fallout 4 Vault Dweller's Survival Guide pp. 450-451: "ZONE 11: NEIGHBORHOOD: BACK BAY
Back Bay was once known for its numerous brownstones of architectural significance. It is now dominated by the Trinity Tower skyscraper, an immense building constructed close to the old church and public library. Now the streets and alleyways are home to roving bands of Raiders, ferals, and packs of wild dogs. The tower still stands, which is more than can be said for another skyscraper, which has half toppled into the Dartmouth Professional Building. Keep going south to reach a Raider tenement block stronghold of Layton Towers. Super Mutants have a powerful grip on this part of the city, too, decorating the Wilson Atomatoys Corporate HQ and Trinity Tower with meat bags and bloody spikes."
