Danny Sullivan is the gatekeeper for the main entrance of Diamond City in the Commonwealth in 2287.

Danny is a DC security officer acting as the gatekeeper for the entrance of Diamond City, reporting directly to Mayor McDonough. He is responsible for monitoring the main entrance to city for potential threats and troublemakers.

An incident surrounding a recently-published controversial news story The Synthetic Truth had left Publick Occurrences reporter Piper Wright temporarily banned from Diamond City. Under the orders of McDonough, Mr. Sullivan is denying Piper access to the city. That is until the Sole Survivor arrives.

Mistaken the Survivor be a local trader coming up from Quincy, Mr. Sullivan opens the gate for them, inadvertently restoring Piper's privilege to access the city.

After letting the player and Piper in the City, Danny can be spoken to behind the counter at the entrance. The Sole Survivor has two options: 1) They can be honest to Danny, by passing an easy speech challenge (XP reward) or 2) They can lie to him, by passing a moderate speech challenge (XP reward and 50 caps). Danny gives you the 50 caps, because he thinks you will use it as a down-payment for parts for the city's gate. If you choose the second option to lie, you can still speak to him again and choose the honest option. Other way around is not possible.

Danny Sullivan appears only in Fallout 4.
