This is an overview article, listing content appearing in multiple games. |
|
Coyotes are creatures living in the Core Region and the Mojave Wasteland.
Coyotes almost always travel in packs like their wolf cousins. They have sharp teeth and will frequently knock a target over, in which they will then attack the head of their prey.
Variants
Coyote
A regular, mostly unmutated coyote. They are a bit stronger than dogs, but are weaker than most wolves.
Coyote den mother
Den mothers stay back while the others are off hunting, and looks after her pups. If any danger comes, they will protect their pups with their lives.
Coyote pack alpha
Coyote pack alphas watch over the pack and protect them from dangers that may come their way.
Coyote pup
The offspring of a coyote. They are smaller and weaker than normal coyotes, and will more often than not go down in one hit, on par with radroaches in terms of durability.
Wild mutant coyote
The following is based on Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2 design documents and is not canon. |
Imagine a large, wolf sized coyote trying to bite your face off. Now imagine a pack of them. Sounds like fun? Then you'll love these scavengers! They hunt in groups, and they're always looking for a little meal to tide them over until nighttime.
Appearances
The coyotes appear in Fallout and Fallout: New Vegas. They were also going to appear in the canceled Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2.
