The Colt Rangemaster Hunting Rifle appears in Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. In Fallout 3 it is replaced by the .32 Hunting Rifle and in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, by the 9mm Hunting Rifle.

A Colt Rangemaster semi-automatic rifle, in .223 FMJ caliber. Single-shot only. It is your basic, solid rifle. It uses the .223 FMJ caliber rifle round, a standard for over 110 years. The .223, combined with a 1:10" twist, gives good accuracy at range and solid knockdown capability.

In Fallout 2, it can be upgraded with a scope, either the Triveld x10 or Loophole x20.

  • On 2nd floor in Vault 15
  • Kenji, the assassin that Gizmo sends to kill Killian Darkwater of Junktown, carries a Hunting Rifle.
  • Raiders often carry Hunting Rifles in the level range of 3 - 7.
  • Set also uses one when he is locked in combat.

  • Can be found in the lockers at the sheriffs station in Redding.
  • Bought in the Den
  • Sold by merchants in Vault City, Gecko, and many other towns.
