(The child glares at you sullenly as you can barely see his face beneath all the dirt. On the remains of his shirt is scribbled "Cody." As you near him, his glare breaks and he smiles slightly.)

Cody is a New Reno orphan standing in front of the Cat's Paw in 2241.


A ragged-looking orphan wearing a tattered shirt with his name scribbled on it[1], the small boy ekes out an existence in the lawless streets of New Reno. He is covered in dirt and his clothes are almost entirely tattered.

Throughout the game, he does not utter a single word, which indicates that he's either a mute, or his ability to speak was somehow affected sometime in his life. He has a keen eye, however, and is aware of everything that happens around him.

Recover your stolen car: He is also one of the possible ways to recover your stolen car in New Reno, however, if he fingers Jules, the Chosen One will have to remind the greeter that he will kill him, should anything happen to Cody.

Other interactionsEdit

  • Based on actions, Karma, or companions, Cody will run away if he sees Marcus, Lenny or the Chosen One has bad Karma, or any reputations related to it.
  • Cody can be given drugs, drinks (including alcohol) or food by the Chosen One.
  • After having defeated the Enclave, Cody will show his gratitude with a smile and after some dialogue he will mutter "Thank you" or "Fuck you" based on the Chosen One's actions. Approaching Cody in power armor will frighten him and make him run away.
