Cigars are one of several ways of ingesting tobacco, alongside cigarettes.

Characteristics[]

Originating in Central America, cigars are a distinct way to smoke tobacco. Made from a bundle of dried and fermented tobacco leaves, wrapped in binder and rolled in whole leaves. The flavor, smoking characteristics, and general quality of the cigar depend on the types of leaves used for each layer, fermentation and aging, and the technique of rolling the cigar itself.

Cigars were used as a symbol of success and accomplishment, before and after the Great War, in both civilian and military circles,[1][2][3][4] from Cuban to Canadian cigars.[5] Both General Constantine Chase and Conrad Kellogg are either seen smoking or mentioned as smoking cigars.[6][7]
