Chris DeSalvo is a developer who worked at Interplay Entertainment on Fallout as a programmer and software engineer.

EmploymentEdit

According to Chris' LinkedIn page, he was one of two full-time engineers who worked on Mac games developed in Interplay's MacPlay division. After leaving Interplay sometime in 1996 (subsequent to his contributions to the development of Fallout), Chris attained positions in such companies as Apple Computer, Danger Inc., Google, Meantime LLC, Voxer, Medium, Lyve Minds Inc., and, most recently, Slack Technologies Inc. For many of these companies, he was a software engineer for iOS and Mac. In the case of Meantime LLC, he was its owner for 3 years (whilst concurrently holding a position at Voxer). His most recent position is being a senior staff engineer for OS X at Slack Technologies Inc.

Industry RecognitionEdit

According to his LinkedIn page, he holds numerous patents, and is the recipient of the awards for Best Simulation and Best Use of Multimedia from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences for his work on SimCity CD-ROM.[1]

Personal LifeEdit

Chris lives in San Francisco, California. As evident from his blog, Chris is a sailing enthusiast who participates in many regattas.[2] His other interests include martial arts, firearms, and anything to do with books or audiobooks.[3][4]
