Chosen One
From The Vault
The Chosen One is the main character of Fallout 2 and grandson/grandaughter of the Vault Dweller, the protagonist of Fallout 1. Born in Arroyo, the Chosen One was charged with finding the G.E.C.K. (or Garden of Eden Creation Kit) to save his or her village from famine and disease. The G.E.C.K. is meant to be found in Vault 13 through Vic's leads by a water-flask originally from the Vault, but when the Chosen One found it, the village was attacked by some mysterious force. The Chosen One traced the Arroyo-survivors with the help of tanker vagrants in San Francisco.
He/she ends up foiling a plot by the remnants of the United States government (calling themselves the Enclave), preventing them from killing all mutants in the world - including the majority of humans, most of whom have mutated in some way or another. They have also imprisoned the Elder and a few handful of tribals surviving their attack on Arroyo. The Chosen One defeats the Enclave by using their very own weapons against them; Releasing F.E.V. in their air ventilation system, and destroying Frank Horrigan.
