Two hundred years after the Great War, Chinese Remnant soldiers reside in Mama Dolce's Processing Plant, who have converted the building into their fortress and have stayed in it ever since 2077 (likely due to the fact that they want a safe haven in America), the reasoning be that ghouls age significantly slower than humans, revealed in conversation with Gob at Moriarty's Saloon. They are immediately hostile towards the PC, because he/she is American. (And that goes even for Asian-American characters wearing Chinese Army paraphernalia...)
Two dead Chinese Remnant spies are located in an underground sewer near Broadcast Tower KT8 from which you can receive clothes and a Chinese Commando Hat. A dead chinese skeleton can also be found in the sewer along the route taken during the main story quest in which you escape the Enclave while fleeing the Jefferson Memorial, along with a copy of Chinese Army: Special Ops Training Manual, Dirty Chinese Jumpsuit, one of the very rare commando hats, and a Chinese Pistol.
Ghoul mask does not work on them as they are not feral ghouls.

The Chinese Remnant soldiers come in 3 different ranks. The type of soldiers encountered depends on the player's level upon entering Mama Dolce's (i.e. at low levels the player encounters mostly Soldiers and Sergeants, whereas at high levels the player encounters mostly Sergeants and Officers).
Overall, Chinese Remnant forces have low health and poor armor (most can be head-popped with 1 or 2 hunting rifle headshots). However, the higher-ranking soldiers are armed with hard-hitting Chinese Assault Rifles in good condition.
A few specially positioned Chinese Remnant troops are equipped with Missile Launchers or Sniper Rifles.
- Chinese Remnant Soldier - Very weak (on par with a Wastelander civilian), and armed only with a Chinese Pistol and/or a 10mm Pistol.
- Chinese Remnant Sergeant - Low health, but armed with a Chinese Assault Rifle , Missile Launcher or a Sniper Rifle.
- Chinese Remnant Officer - Average health (on par with a mid-level Raider), but armed with a Chinese Assault Rifle , Missile Launcher or a Sniper Rifle .
- Chinese Remnant Captain - Unique character, the apparent leader of the Chinese Remnant. Found in his office in the Food Distribution section of the plant. Has above average health (on par with a Talon Company Merc), and is armed with a Chinese Assault Rifle , Chinese Officer's Sword and a Chinese Pistol. His name before the war seems to be Huang, as he is the one carrying an encryption key to a terminal with instructions from the Chinese government.
- Chinese Remnant Spies - Only seen dead after finding the source of radio signal Sierra Romeo.
