• This item is used as a component to create .45-70 Gov't on the workbench along with some lead, primer, large rifle and powder, rifle.

LocationsEdit

• Two to five casings can be found on any enemy wielding a brush gun, hunting revolver or a Ranger Sequoia. You will typically see Great Khans wielding hunting revolvers, and NCR Veteran Rangers carry the Ranger Sequoia or brush gun.
• When you fire a weapon chambered in the .45-70 Gov't round, there is a 35% chance you'll get a casing. If you're firing an SWC round, the chance is 20%.
• You'll get 25 .45-70 Gov't casings if you buy a .45-70 case box.
• Occasionally some traveling merchants will "sell" .45-70 Gov't casings (among many other calibers).
