C.J. Young is a young citizen of Rivet City in 2277.
Contents |
[edit] Background
C.J. is as happy as a kid as you'll find in the Wasteland. She's been raised by two loving parents and lives a great kid's life, hanging out on the flight deck or exploring Rivet City with her best friend, James Hargrave. James does pick on her mercilessly, even though she's a year older than him. She is constantly apologizing and forgiving him for all his teasing. Despite this, the two are best friends. She is a trusting and honest young girl [1]
[edit] Relationships
C.J. is the daughter of Christie and Henry Young. She is the best friend of James Hargrave.
[edit] Interactions with the player character
C.J. has nothing to say to the player, however, it is a possibility that she and James Hargrave will run away, starting the unmarked quest The Runaways.

[edit] Bugs
- You may run into her outside of Rivet City by herself before ever entering Rivet City. She will only say "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers".
- Randomly, C.J. will decide to sleep on a cot in Flak and Shrapnel's room. When she does, Flak and Shrapnel will stand in the room and will not sleep. Flak will pace the room randomly and open the door from time to time, and Shrapnel will stand against a wall and smoke. There seems to be no indication as to why this happens, but it is odd (and somewhat creepy). This was observed in the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC Versions.
- When James and C.J. run away to Anacostia Crossing after you taunt James, C.J. can be spoken to with the same dialogue options as James, she will say something along the lines of "I'm scared, please take me home." and the player can respond with both negative ("You're on your own kid, deal with it") or positive ("Sure kid, I'm sorry I said those things. Let's go") options which can have you apologizing for something you never said to her.
[edit] Appearances
C.J. Young only appears in Fallout 3.
