The following is based on Fallout cut content. |
Brenden is a member of the Brotherhood of Steel, stationed in Lost Hills in 2161.
Background
Brenden is working on a treatise on the social dynamics of the Brotherhood. He is researching information about the people from before the Great War and about the societies of the outside world. He thinks that the Brotherhood comes closest in organization to the Knights Templar of the so-called 'Dark Ages'.
He came to the conclusion that the Brotherhood functioned mostly like a pseudo-religious organization. They have the strong military hierarchy, combined with codes of honor passed down from their ancestors. He thinks that there are two paths of development for the Brotherhood: a techno-religious dictatorship or a benevolent research society. He thinks that General John Maxson, the High Elder at that time, was a leader who was both strong and visionary.
