Breadbox is a slave in Paradise Falls. In a conversation with another slave, he reveals that his nickname comes from a game that slavers used to play with new slaves that he'd "rather not talk about."
If you free the rest of the slaves he won't leave, as he is hard of hearing and doesn't understand you telling him he's free - which may be a reason as to why he may call you "Young Lady," although you're a male character. He is opposed to the plan to break out of Paradise Falls being concocted by Bleak and urges her to accept her life as a slave and cooperate with the slavers. Thus, his apparent difficulty understanding your character may actually be a cover for his desire to remain with the slavers.
