Brain fungus is a consumable item featured in Fallout 4.

An edible mushroom, which is slightly irradiated. Used in the recipe for Mentats.

• 36 can be found in the mole rat den beneath Red Rocket truck stop, and 1 more can be found by the entrance.
• One can be found in the ranger cabin.
• Three can be found on the walls inside the Lonely Chapel.
• One can be found outside of Vault 81.
• Two can be found in the Collegiate administration building.
• In the Castle tunnels.
• A few can be found inside Skylanes Flight 1981.
• A house near the wrecked train, northeast of Tenpines Bluff.
• A few can be found in one of the shacks in Sunshine Tidings co-op.
• The Taffington boathouse has some sources both inside and outside.
• A couple can be found just east of Oberland Station (between there and Beantown Brewery) on the ground near some tree clusters.
