Background[]
Brahmin have been domesticated in the wasteland for many purposes; labor, as beasts of burden, hair, milk and of course, their meat. Although irradiated, brahmin meat has become a staple protein source in the post-apocalyptic diet for many denizens of the wastes. Brahmin herding makes up the backbone of the New California Republic economy and in turn, created the New Reno NCR brahmin rustling economy.

Brahmin steak[]
Brahmin meat that's been cooked, brahmin steak is a favorite among military personnel, wasteland inhabitants and raiders alike. Because it's been cooked, it doesn't suffer from any ill effects and raises the consumer's vitality.
Brahmin meat[]
Brahmin meat is the raw meat of brahmin taken straight from their corpses. Given its raw state, it provides little nutritional value and can even make you sick and weak.
Infected brahmin meat[]
Infected brahmin meat is meat that is past the peak of perfection and has become disease ridden likely from bacterial buildup and culinary neglect. You would be crazy to eat this hunk of meat.
Ribeye steak[]
This cooked brahmin steak is taken from the ribs of the animal, providing a health boost to those that consume it.
Brahmin Wellington[]
Brahmin Wellington is the creation of Philippe, head chef at the Ultra-Luxe casino on the New Vegas Strip. Created by dipping brahmin meat in beaten ant egg, coating the dipped meat with macaroni and cheese, then frying in a skillet until golden brown, it's as healthy as it is delicious.
Cook-Cook's Fiend stew[]
Evidence that brahmin meat is a staple protein source among raiders as well, Fiend leader Cook-Cook cooked up a recipe for a stew that keeps his Fiends well fed and healthy, not to mention strong as a bull.
Desert salad[]
Brahmin meat has also been incorporated into otherwise vegetarian dishes to get more protein and energy out of them; point-in-case: the Desert Salad. By tossing brahmin steak, barrel cactus fruit and pinyon nuts together in a bowl, you get an incredible healthy salad that keeps the consumer full and hydrated in spite of the barren wasteland.
