The bracketed short barrel increases the range of the laser musket. The bracketed short barrel is one of the best variants of the short barrel for the laser musket as it uses the same amount of the same materials as the alternative modification, the extended short barrel, though allows the wielder to modify the muzzle slot of the laser musket. Additionally, it does not change the weight of the weapon, and increases its value in bottlecaps. Finally, it is the last barrel modification for the laser musket that does not require the perk Science! to install.
