The boxing tape is a weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[]

Like the boxing gloves, boxing tape can inflict fatigue damage, which after a certain threshold, will knock an enemy unconscious and cause them to fall to the ground, leaving them vulnerable to attack with stronger weapons. Of the three fatigue-inflicting weapons, boxing tape deals the least at 20 points to 35 for the boxing gloves and 50 for the Golden Gloves. However, compared to both, the boxing tape deals slightly higher damage per strike as well as slightly higher critical hit damage, and has significantly higher durability, allowing for much longer use before requiring repairs. It requires no Melee Weapons skill level and just 1 Strength to use effectively.

Visually, the weapon appears to be stripes of gauze wrapped around the palm of the hand and the knuckles with the fingers and thumb left uncovered.

Notes[]

Like the boxing gloves, fatigue damage cannot be inflicted on robots, as they are inherently immune to being fatigued. However, boxing tape will add additional HP damage to compensate for the ineffectiveness of fatigue damage.
