A bounty hunter is a character who is hired to find criminals, enemies or lost persons. What the bounty hunter does when they find their target depends on many factors, not the least of which being whether it is a legal practice or not.

In Fallout and Fallout 2, the Childkiller reputation will cause bounty hunters to come after you. Chris Avellone was a particularly famous bounty hunter.

In Fallout 3, the Lone Wanderer can become a bounty hunter by going after Junders Plunkett.

In Fallout: New Vegas, a bounty hunter posing as a traveling merchant hangs out at Jean Sky Diving during the quest I Fought the Law.
