Boston Airport is a location in the Commonwealth which is in control by the Brotherhood of Steel in 2287.

Layout

The airport is comprised of a central terminal building, which is mostly destroyed, a parking garage, and a small garage. There is also a tarmac which has the remains of several Horizon Airlines jet airliners. The airliners are completely destroyed. The wings having separated and the fuselages being torn into three parts. The aircraft interiors have been completely stripped out by scavengers. The tarmac is also littered with lots of other scrap junk, most of which can be converted into various items. Sadly, it lacks the places to grow crops on. The entire site is inhabited by feral ghouls. There is a legendary glowing one on the top floor of the terminal. The tarmac is sunken into the bay, and mirelurk inhabit the shore. In the lowest floor of the parking garage, there are two police protectron stationed in chambers. Once activated by the novice terminal, the securitrons can provide fire support against ghouls.

There is an area at the end of the terminal which has a workshop in the waiting area which has no roof. It can be used as a settlement but there are severe limitations. Crops cannot be planted at all, so food has to be supplied from other settlements via supply lines. No Settlement Recruitment Beacon can be built, so no settlers will join. No Guard Posts can be built, so the only method of defense is building turrets. Also cannot build any stores, salvage stations or artillery pieces.

This settlement is of very limited use as of release, only viable as a possible crafting area or storage.

Notable loot

  • There is a fusion core in the generators at the southeastern end of the ground floor of the terminal.
  • There is a mini nuke upstairs guarded by a glowing one.
  • There is a Fat Man in a car, near the water on the runway.

Appearances

Boston Airport only appears in Fallout 4. It is evidently based on Boston's Logan International Airport, but with a number of changes.
