For an overview of nail board weapons, see nail board. |
The Board of Education is a unique nail board in Fallout 3.
Characteristics[]
It is composed of a plank of wood with nails hammered through it like all other nail boards found throughout the Capital Wasteland. Although not a highly damaging weapon, it has a faster attack than the standard nail board, meaning it does more damage per second. Unlike common nail boards, the Board of Education actually has a chance to score a Critical Hit.
Durability[]
The Board of Education can successfully strike about 250 times from full condition before breaking.

Behind the scenes[]
The inscription "Board of Education" is a common pun found etched or burned into the paddles used for corporal punishment. The phrase itself is pun on Board of Education, a governing body that oversees various schools in an area, and the fact that corporal punishment was previously used in schools to discipline students.
