The Blackhawk is a unique Scoped .44 Magnum in Fallout 3.

• The Blackhawk can be repaired with the Scoped .44 Magnum.

• The scope offers long range semiautomatic sniping ability, very good for non-V.A.T.S. usage.

• It is the strongest mid-to-long range small gun in the game {with the exception of Callahan's Magnum, available with Broken Steel which does about 10 more points of damage}, with (64) base damage and a (+45) point critical bonus. It is a favorite for the powerful small gun fans.

• Enclave Soldiers and Super Mutants can easily be decapitated with one well-aimed (V.A.T.S.) shot to the head. With damage increasing drugs or perks (at least 10%), Better Criticals, and 100 points in Small Guns, a critical hit to the head of a Deathclaw will kill it instantly.

• It is more powerful than Lincoln's Repeater, a rifle that also shoots .44 Round, Magnum ammo. However, it is easier to find Hunting Rifles to repair the Lincoln's Repeater than it is to find Scoped .44 Magnums to repair the Blackhawk. It also has a smaller magazine and a marginally larger spread.

• There is absolutely no recoil when firing this gun when you are zoomed in which makes for a 99.7% accurate shot.

• Upon completion of Agatha's Song, you can bring Agatha a Sheet Music Book. She will offer the Blackhawk as a reward.
• To get the weapon in full condition when you receive it, be polite to Agatha when both accepting the quest and receiving the pistol after completing the quest. You have to use the reward speech option to get the Blackhawk, picking "No,no a reward won't be necessary" will only get you positive Karma, picking "Yes,anything that you can spare" will get you the Blackhawk but no positive Karma.

• This revolver is likely a reference to the .44 Caliber revolver produced by the firearms manufacturer Ruger of the same name.
