- Gov. Dodge is in charge there (speculation: Hoover Dam is placed in the Black Canyon; the Black Canyon could be Hoover Dam prototype).
- The NCR salvagers in Denver were Black Canyon prison inmates. Most of them had been 370 powder gang members earlier.
