Beer is a consumable item in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3 and Fallout Tactics.

Beer can be found or purchased throughout the Wasteland and most notably in consolidated communities and settlements.

Beer is an addictive drink of ethanol found in Fallout 3 which increases player's Strength and Charisma by one while decreasing their Intelligence by one. The increase in Strength allows players to temporarily carry 10 pounds more.
- Drinking only beer and selling other drinks (Whiskey, Scotch, Wine, and Vodka) allows players to make the most of their items because the other drinks are worth more than beer.
- Drink beer to increase your Carry Weight, then fast travel to a safe location with a marketplace (Megaton or Rivet City are good choices).
