A lightweight, synthetic fiber with extremely high tensile strength. Its main use is adding high Damage Resistance to armor and even some ordinary clothing.

- Ballistic fiber can be broken down from the junk items: military grade duct tape and military ammo bag.
- With rank two of the Scrapper perk, ballistic fiber can be broken down from any armor or clothing with any attached mod (including ballistic weave) which requires four or more ballistic fiber to create, e.g. asbestos lining.
- Tinker Tom consistently sells ballistic weave modded clothing once one has progressed far enough in the Jackpot questline.
- Shipments of ballistic fiber are sold by KL-E-0 in Goodneighbor, Teagan on the Prydwen, Lucas Miller the traveling merchant, and occasionally by Alexis Combes in Vault 81.
